Dublin Airport is located 6 miles north of Dublin city centre, close to the junction of the M1 and the M50. The drive from the city centre takes 15 to 35 minutes. Drop-off and pick-up zones are located outside both terminals. Short-term parking (5 minute walk from the terminals) and long-term parking (24-hour free shuttle bus transfer) are both available.

Bus is currently the only public transportation option for travelling to and from the airport. The Aircoach (route 700) and the Airlink Express (route 747/757) are the most regular express services, leaving respectively from Leopardstown (with city centre stops including St Stephen’s Green) and from Heuston Station/Busaras and Harcourt St. Both services run at 15 minute intervals for most of the week, with the Aircoach running around the clock. From city centre to the airport usually takes around 30 minutes. Local buses like the 16 and the 41 also serve the city centre-airport route.
