Discover the wonders of Northern India
During your visit to Northern India, a stop in the capital Delhi is a must. Divided into two parts, Old Delhi and New Delhi, the city offers two quite different aspects. In addition to the Red Fort, the National Museum and the bazaars of Old Delhi, succumb to the multitude of colours, smells and sounds. Southern India, has no need to be jealous of Northern India. You don't want to visit Delhi? Visit Mumbai (Bombay), the fashion and financial capital also known as Bollywood because of its growing film industry. Further south, the city of Goa offers remarkable landscapes from tropical vegetation to white sandy beaches. Even though they are very popular with tourists, behind the resorts you will find delightful beaches with virtually nobody there. If you would rather discover the Indian heritage, head for Madurai, home of the Tamil culture and a Hindu pilgrimage site for several centuries. Finally, concerning the best time to visit India, the country is so vast that the seasons vary from one region to another. Generally, though, the best time to visit is from November to February.
