The city is not lacking in museums either: the Egyptian Museum, the Museum of Islamic Art, the Museum Gayer-Anderson, dedicated to oriental art, or the Coptic Museum, proof of the importance of Christianity in Egypt.

Of course, you can't miss a visit to one of the world's seven wonders: the extremely famous Giza pyramids, very close to Cairo: Cheops, Khafre and Menkaure, erected by the Egyptians to serve as tombs for their kings 3,000 years ago.
